Understanding and working with relationships
and family dynamics

From 9.00am for prompt 9.30am start to 4.00pm (5½ hours CPD)
Facilitated by Dr Jan Fish
Jan is an accredited counsellor, supervisor and trainer with experience of teaching counselling and psychotherapy at certificate, degree and postgraduate level. Jan has managed community and hospice bereavement counselling and groups and currently supervises and teaches in these settings.
This day is suitable for student and qualified counsellors, supervisors, ministers and church leaders, pastoral and youth workers, teachers and teaching assistants together with anyone with an interest in working with families.
The day will be interactive and experiential, exploring:
- Approaches to understanding the human need for relationships and the powerful unconscious dynamics that occur within families.
- Working with divorce/separation.
- Working with endings.
- The relationships our clients bring to the work
- Working with people who are not in the room. Our feelings and responsibilities to others in the family, for example children
