Inspire Counselling & Training held their last training event for this year in early October.
A total of 3 training days took place in Ipswich:
All of our training days were face-to-face, facilitated by experienced trainers and held at the Colchester Road Baptist Church, which offered the ideal dedicated space for learning.
We received a lot of positive feedback from the participants about training together. The participants welcomed the opportunity to network and found the group work hugely beneficial, together with the feedback and interaction which took place during the training.
We are currently in the process of putting together face-to-face training events for 2025. Details will be confirmed in due course.
Inspire Counselling & Training has received a grant from the Port Community Fund, via the Suffolk Community Foundation for our low-cost counselling service. The grant is for the Bursary Fund, which is used to support those who cannot afford counselling. This Fund is instrumental in the work we do, and upholds our strong belief that counselling should be available and accessible to those who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.
Clare from the Suffolk Community Foundation Grants Team together with two representatives from the Port Community Fund visited Inspire on 12 September 2024. This gave them the opportunity to meet some members of the team, learn more about Inspire and the work we do and spend a bit of time in the place where their Fund is supporting those in need.

Inspire Counselling & Training has received a grant from the ASDA Foundation for online training for all of our counsellors. This funding will specifically be used to purchase one online training course - 'Trauma and the body: Dissociation and Somatisation' with Carolyn Spring Ltd.
This grant has given Inspire the opportunity to provide good quality training to all of our volunteer counsellors, which will be beneficial as we continue to work and support clients who have experienced trauma.

2023 was a very special year for Inspire, and to acknowledge this some of our team completed a fundraising walk in and around Felixstowe.
We raised money for our Bursary Fund which is used to support individuals who cannot afford counselling. This Fund is instrumental in the work we do and upholds our Purpose.
Money raised - £3741
A big
'THANK YOU'
to all our supporters
Our Celebration and Thanksgiving Service was held at the St. Matthew's Church in Ipswich. This was incorporated into the main service which enabled us to celebrate and thank God for Inspire and the work we do with our local community and surrounding area.
Bishop Martin attended our service and was involved throughout the morning - he gave a powerful and moving sermon, cut our beautiful cake which was served after the service and
re-commissioned Inspire and the team.
We learnt more about Inspire during a series of interviews which were focused on Inspire's past, present and future.
Inspire Counselling & Training is registered in England & Wales under charity number 1068491 and company number 03510939.
